Yummy little chocolate pies

Last week, I think it was Thursday, I was watching Better CT. They had an easy recipe for bite-size chocolate cream pies that was inspired from Pinterest. I had never made anything I have seen on Pinterest. Not a recipe or a craft or even a cute side braid. But I could not get that dessert out of my head. It looked so easy and I could make it without having to actually cook anything. Once I realized I had everything in the house to make it, it was game on. I was making these little pies and my kids were thrilled!

I used store bought pie crust, instant chocolate pudding and Cool Whip. I didn’t have any cute topping handy, but no one cared and everyone LOVED them. We keep thinking up new flavors we can make next time. We’re thinking vanilla, banana, and maybe an apple pie type. So easy and fun. Look at us being all creative and crafty with food! Watch out!

You can use any shape cookie cutter and have fun with the shapes!

Bubbles! Forgot to put a couple holes in the crust.

Jake wanted extra Cool Whip!

If you make this dessert, come back and leave a comment and let me know. Have you made anything from Pinterest? Was it a success? I’d love to see it!

i was not compensated for this post. we just think these pies totally rock!

The Journey Bracelet. Perfect for Mother’s Day!

My Mom buys me the best gifts from this cute little store that she loves in Durham called Wild Wisteria. For my birthday she bought me a bracelet that is totally me and I would have bought for myself. I love it.

The bracelet is called The Journey Bracelet and is made by Stay at Home Moms and Single Moms in the USA. You can check out their website HERE.

LOVE the idea of this company and I really love the jewelry. So pretty and affordable. Perfect place to shop for gifts for Mother’s Day. So, if you are ever in the Durham CT area and are looking for beautiful and unique gifts, make sure you stop by Wild Wisteria. We always love it when we see the polka dot Wild Wisteria bag come through the door!

Don’t forget to check out storybraceletsandmore.com for more awesome jewelry.

*I was not compensated for this post. I was not asked to write this post. But, my Mom did tell me I might want to blog about it when she gave it to me. And she was right.

Weekend Wrap Up

This weekend was busy like most weekends. Lots of running around and getting stuff in the house done. But, we were able to find some time for a little bit of fun too!

She was so excited about her blue nail polish!

Friday night was girls night in the Budge house. Every year Kevin and Jake head to Kevin’s parents house and have a guys night getting ready for opening day of fishing. This year Chloe wanted to go and get her nails done. She’s been talking about it like crazy for weeks. We had a blast, and she even had sushi after. Perfect girls night out.

Saturday was a typical day of running around. Chloe had softball and Chelsea had an eye exam. It was so beautiful outside and we knew it was going to rain a bunch on Sunday, so we did a ton of yard work. SO HAPPY to get some of that outside stuff done. Our yard looked like complete crap. After all the rain we had yesterday, it looks so much better today.

Question for you guys. We have a white colonial/traditional style house with green shutters. I want different color shutters after we power wash the house. I HATE these green shutters. Everyone puts black shutters on their white house. What other color would you go with? Have any ideas? I am at a complete loss!

Hope you all had a great weekend! Happy Monday! I am hoping for a productive week here.

Have a fabulous week!

Our stay in the Alligator Bayou rooms at Port Orleans Resort Riverside.

We had the BEST Disney vacation last week. Now, it’s back to reality, and tons of laundry. We stayed at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort Riverside. This was our third time staying at Riverside. We have stayed in the Mansion rooms before, but this time we decided to try the Alligator Bayou rooms, and check out the new Murphy beds that were put in to replace the trundle beds that were there. I had no idea what to expect, and to be honest, I was not sure if I was going to like the rustic feeling of that side of the resort. I was worried our room would feel too small and cramped with the murphy bed open. I was wrong about both. We LOVED this room, and this area of of the resort. I can actually say it is everyone in the family’s favorite. Here are some pictures, I’ll be posting more about our stay and our vacation throughout the next few weeks.

Have you ever stayed at Port Orleans Riverside? What did you think? What is your favorite Disney resort?
