Our stay at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside

My family and I attended the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration back in March. If you have no idea what I am talking about check out this post. We stayed a few extra days after the conference ended, and switch our hotel to Port Orleans Riverside. We had stayed there years ago and loved it, so we thought it would be fun to check it out again. Boy, are we glad we did! I have to say I think it is our favorite Disney resort so far. Well…wait. I don’t know, my kids might argue that they love Pop Century the most. But all in all we all had such an amazing time at Port Orleans Riverside.

From the moment we walked into the lobby to check in until the time we were waiting for Magical Express to go home, we were treated like we were the most important people there. The woman checking us in was so sweet and never stopped smiling. The gentleman who helped us get our bags from being transferred went out of his way to help us. Every castmember we encountered was amazing.

While we were staying at Port Orleans Riverside we were also celebrating my daughter Chloe’s sixth birthday. One of the mornings we walked to the area where you can rent bikes and met Eddie. He saw Chloe’s Happy Birthday button she was wearing and knelt down and said “Happy Birthday”. I thought it was sweet and she said thanks. But! It didn’t stop there! Then he said he was going to SING Happy Birthday to her. And he did. In a full on Donald Duck voice. It. Was. Awesome. She still talks about it. It was one of the best parts of our trip. It really is the little things that you remember that can mean so much. No matter where you are, you always remember when someone makes you feel special. Disney is definitely the master of that.

Here are some pictures of our stay. It is a moderate resort, that feels every bit as luxurious as a deluxe, but feels better on the wallet.
