Disney Social Media Moms Celebration

I know…I know.  It has taken me forever to post about the Disney Social Media MomsCelebration I attended in March.  It has been crazy busy around  here.  Then throw in some really crappy sicknesses that went around my house, and well, let’s just say I am a bit behind.

Amazing.  That is what I say when asked about the conference.  My family and I had an amazing experience.  We are huge Disney freaks.  So, we knew that we were going to love that aspect of the trip.  Everything else?  Better than I could have imagined.

Some of my favorite things from the Disney Social Media Moms Conference

Dinner on Friday night at Hollywood Studios.  My whole family had a BLAST!  I think it may  have been the BEST night of Chloe’s life.  The food was fabulous and the whole event was so lighthearted.  I loved seeing all of the parents dancing with their kids.  MOST FUN EVER.

Listening to Rene Syler speak.  I did not want it to end.  I could totally identify with so much of what she talked about.  She touched my heart.  Her beauty, class and determination to live her life on her own terms has inspired me.  In areas in my life where I once had self doubt, I now feel stronger.  I am a better person because of this day.

Having the chance to strengthen my existing friendships and also build the foundation for new ones. One of my closest friends in the world is Michele McGraw (@scrappinmichele).  So awesome to spend time with her.  I am such a lucky person to have her in my life.  I met so many amazing women that it would take me forever to write about them all.  But, ending my Saturday night with AmandaEmilyJanice and Michele in an empty bar laughing and talking was just perfect.  I went to sleep feeling happy and smiling a ton that night.

Food and Wine Talk at Citricos on Saturday morning.  I really enjoyed listening to Chef Bryan from California Grill and Sommelier Megan from Jiko talk all things food.  They answered questions and talked about their experiences working for Disney.  I was happy yo hear how willing and eager the Disney Chefs are to accommodate every guest.  If you are a vegetarian, have food allergies or just want healthier food options for your kids, they will make sure you have a meal that you love.

My husband was able to share it all with me.  One of my most favorite things about the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration was that my husband Kevin was able to see what all this social media stuff was all about.  Kevin is my biggest cheerleader, without his support I could not do any of the things that I do.  I know half the time he has no clue what I’m talking about, but while at Disney he totally got it.  It was nice to share this piece of my world with him.

So, those are some of my favorite moments from the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration.  I’ll have a few more posts with some more fun stuff that happened on our trip!

Oh…and thanks to my new friend Lisa (@workoutmommy) I have been obsessing about funnel cake!  ;)

Disclosure: I received free park passes, meals, admission to special events and gifts as a guest of the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration (I did pay to attend the conference.) All opinions are my own.
